About 10 years ago i made the jump to 7 1 with the pioneer 1021 k 7 matched polk monitor speakers and a bic f 12 sub.
I upgraded my receiver about 5 years ago to the yamaha rx v675 and i am loving it.
I currently have a 5 1 system and am looking at adding a pair of klipsch rp 140sa atmos enabled elevation speakers to the top of my two front bookshelf speakers.
The fronts sound pretty good for their size and price they were but the rears are very weak.
I just recently purchased a marantz sr 6011 and replacement speakers my yamaha ns ap6500 5 1 speaker package i bought years ago.

Whilst ceiling mounted speakers have many advantages over floor standing speakers and you can t argue their understated aesthetics they do bring with them a few problems for companies to counter with their engineering.
